Building Inspection

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) provides a building inspection service within its electoral areas and by contract to the Village of McBride.

New buildings and additions to existing buildings must meet standards established by the B.C. Building Code and Regional District Building Bylaw 1561. Building use and location are managed through land-use zoning. A development permit process will also apply if construction is on a lakeshore.

Building permit and inspection advice is provided at the Regional District office in Prince George, and for construction in the Robson and Canoe Valleys, at the Village of McBride and Village of Valemount Offices.
