Official Community Plans and Amendments
Community Planning (Land Use)
The purpose of Official Community Plans (OCP) is to state the general land use objectives and policies of the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) and give future direction on land use decisions within the electoral areas of the RDFFG. Proposed development must be consistent with the OCPs.
The RDFFG has six OCPs:
1. Electoral Area A - Salmon River-Lakes
2. Electoral Area C - Chilako River-Nechako
3. Electoral Area D - Tabor Lake-Stone Creek
4. Electoral Area F - Willow River-Upper Fraser
5. Electoral Area G - Crooked River-Parsnip
6. Electoral Area H - Robson Valley-Canoe
If a proposed development does not fit the terms of the OCP, an amendment is required. An OCP amendment application is made to the RDFFG.
Proposed changes to an OCP require a public hearing. The RDFFG Board considers applications and makes decisions concerning them.
