Swap Sheds
The Materials Exchange service (Swap Sheds) offered at the Foothills and Mackenzie Regional Landfills and the Valemount, McBride, Shelly and Bear Lake Regional Transfer Stations let residents dispose of usable, repairable items.
Swap Sheds operate free of charge and offer practical reuse of materials including construction materials, furniture, clothing, books, bicycles, fixtures and appliances. Approximately 180 tonnes of material involving 40,000 items move through Regional Swap Sheds annually.
