Landfills
Includes:
- Operation of the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill (Prince George) including weigh scales, waste screening, fee collection, on-site transfer station, recycling and environmental monitoring programs
- Administration of the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill heavy equipment contract and related services
- Operation of a landfill gas management system including system performance optimization, data collection and interpretation and maintenance
- Administration of the Mackenzie Regional Landfill operations contract
- Administration and operation of the Legrand Select Waste Regional Landfill
Most landfill sites provide opportunities for recycling, centralized composting of yard and garden waste, "Swap shed" waste exchange areas, residential waste disposal by way of on-site transfer stations and limited commercial waste disposal.
Some sites take oil, antifreeze, batteries, propane cylinders, tires, refrigerators and scrap metal.
