Buckhorn Community Sewer System
The Buckhorn Community Sewer System was transferred to the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George from School District #57 in 2004, to accommodate a planned service expansion to 47 Buckhorn area residences.
The sewer system currently services the Buckhorn Elementary School and Buckhorn Volunteer Fire Department building.
Effluent discharge is to Tabor Creek. Routine monitoring occurs prior to discharge to Tabor Creek to ensure that treatment performance objectives are met and creek flows are suitable.
