Updates to the Regional District’s Multi-Material Recycling Program Coming October 1st, 2014

As a result of the implementation of MMBC’s curbside recycling program the Regional District is revising the 20 year old program.
October 1 2014 a number of multi-material drop depot bin sites in Prince George will be permanently closed. These include:

  • Bon Voyage Plaza
  • Ferndale Fire Hall
  • Hart Shopping Plaza
  • Lakewood Alliance Church (5th & Ospika)
  • Nechako Bottle Depot
  • Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church (Ospika & Dufferin)

Existing drop-depot locations in and around Prince George that will continue to operate include:

  • Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill (Foothills Boulevard & Austin Rd)
  • Quinn Street Recycle Depot (18th Ave & Quinn St)
  • Vanway Recycle Depot and Transfer Station (Broddy Rd)
  • Cummings Road Transfer Station
  • Shelley Transfer Station

New drop-depot locations as of October 1 2014 include:

  • Bear Lake Transfer Station – marshalling area
  • Buckhorn Transfer Station
  • Chief Lake Transfer Station
  • Hixon Transfer Station – marshalling area
  • West Lake Transfer Station
  • Willow River Transfer Station
