The City of Prince George occupies 328 km² and the 76,708 residents are represented on the Regional District Board by Mayor Simon Yu and Councillors Cori Ramsay, Kyle Sampson and Brian Skakun.

Region-wide services provided include solid waste management, 9-1-1 emergency response, fire services coordination, regional parks, land use planning, building inspection and heritage conservation. Other Regional District services include the Cranbrook Hill Natural Gas system funded by area residents.

McMillan Creek Regional Park is located within the City of Prince George and can be accessed via Highway 97 North off Hoferkamp Road.
