Funding is provided for arts, cultural and heritage agencies. Currently, the 2023-2027 Cultural Plan supports and encourages collaboration amongst the following funded sites:

There is also a consumer marketing initiative as a part of this plan. Northern Routes Cultural Experince collectively promotes this group of funded museums, galleries and heritage attractions.

Arts, Culture and Heritage Grant

Each year, not for profit organizations that deliver arts, culture and heritage programs and services within the Regional District can apply for grants up to $5,000 for projects that support the vision and goals of the Regional Cultural Plan. This can include public art, special events, displays, exhibits, regional traveling programs, curatorial or archiving support projects. Regular and routine maintenance, annual operating expenses, remuneration (including wages and consulting fees), non-emergent capital projects (such as renovations or expansion of premises), private enterprise, operating or capital deficits and tax payments are not eligible.
