The Regional District's priority is to protect its staff and the public who may be attending events held at the Community Centre.
The Community Centre is open for event rentals that comply with COVID-19 Provincial Health Orders and WorkSafeBC regulations. These orders and restrictions change frequently, if you are considering organizing an event please familiarize yourself with current orders and restrictions. Event organizers must provide a COVID Safety Plan to detail how they will comply with Provincial Orders and restrictions.
Capacity restrictions for the Community Centre have been lifted, so the facility can accommodate up to 360 people for banquet seating. Indoor organized events, including weddings, funeral receptions, reunions, and other celebrations are permitted. Dancing is also permitted. To support this transition and ensure the safety of the community face masks are recommended.
As we adjust to these changes, we remind everyone to follow the Provincial and Regional District requirements and to respect the differing levels of comfort. Let's also remember the fundamentals of keeping each other healthy, like staying home if you are feeling unwell and regular handwashing.
