Changes to paper and packaging recycling drop off at transfer stations and landfills

Effective May 31, paper and packaging recycling drop off at all Regional District transfer stations and landfills will be temporarily suspended for a few months.  New expanded collection services are coming from Recycle BC, including principal collection depots at the transfer stations in Mackenzie and Valemount as well as Quinn Street Regional Recycling Depot in Prince George.  Further information on when these  and other depots will be operational will be shared as soon as it is confirmed.

Metal, compost, appliances, batteries, and oil will still be accepted at existing locations.
Cardboard compaction will still be available at the Mackenzie, McBride and Valemount transfer station locations.
